A new HMC monograph for this herbal medicine ingredient is being posted. The proposal for this herbal medicine that appeared at the Propose for Comment stage, between August 1, 2023 and November 1, 2023, is being replaced with a new proposal. On the basis of comments received, the Cannabis Species Inflorescence monograph has been revised as follows.

1. Considering the medical use of cannabis inflorescence, the specifications of the labeled amount of total THC and total CBD, as well as other cannabinoids were changed from NLT 80% and NMT 120% to NLT 90% and NMT 110%.

2. The Contaminants section has been edited to provide two options for Microbial Contaminants. Option 1 specifies the limits for total aerobic bacterial counts, total yeasts and molds count, and absence of specified microorganisms using USP general...
