DEFINITION

The article is prepared from the dried root of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb., with the currently accepted Latin name Reynoutria multiflora (Thunb.) Moldenke (Fam. Polygonaceae)¹, collected in autumn or winter and extracted with a mixture of alcohol and water (7:3). The ratio of starting crude plant material to Dry Extract is between 3:1 and 5:1.
