DEFINITION

Coptis chinensis Rhizome Aqueous Dry Extract Granules are prepared from the dried rhizomes of Coptis chinensis Franch. (Fam. Ranunculaceae) by extraction with water and processed by filtration, concentration, and drying. To prepare granules, a suitable amount of excipient can be added, if necessary, to a defined ratio of starting plant to final product on the dried plant basis.
